THERMOCOAGULATION – In November 2009, the Centre for Vein Care introduced this revolutionary technique to eliminate spider veins on the legs and fine thread veins in the face, known as telangiectasias. Thermocoagulation has become the treatment of choice for practitioners and patients alike, many having been failed by lasers and other light based systems. It provides a relatively painless walk in walk out procedure, with no risk of bruising, scarring or pigmentation. VEINLITE-ASSISTED SCLEROTHERAPY – In 2005, the Centre for Vein Care introduced this fiber optic technique to more efficiently eliminate the superficial venous networks associated with spider veins and telangiectasia. By eliminating the varicose and “feeder” veins beneath the surface of the skin, the surface veins are more effectively treated thereby minimizing recurrence.
